One of the more exiting parts of my week is when I get to work on a project that is tailored to the client. Working with others is easily my favourite thing to do. I also try to stick to my roots and do the occasional piece of upcycled work. All that said, please contact me if you're looking to have a specific piece made for your home.

 Making these shelves was more of a challenge than I had originally intended. The client was someone who found me on Etsy and had originally asked to do some nesting tables out of oak. The loved them so much that they came back and asked me to do this shelf/table to go above their radiator. 

Unfortunately I had just used the last of one source of thicker oak to make the nesting tables so I had to revisit the timber yard but all they had in the right thickness was to short. So I think I may have invented a new joint for the middle to join two pieces of wood that I was able to get out of this piece. The there were a couple of splits that needed bowties and some knots that needed epoxy to stabilise them. The it was just finish and some custom hairpin legs and they were done!
