One of the more exiting parts of my week is when I get to work on a project that is tailored to the client. Working with others is easily my favourite thing to do. I also try to stick to my roots and do the occasional piece of upcycled work. All that said, please contact me if you're looking to have a specific piece made for your home.
Obviously, the work displayed here is a selection of my favourite projects and so is always being updated. Do keep coming back to see what new things I have been doing!
This was another fun one. Both of these are for the same client. The grey shoe rack I built from scratch and fitted along with the coat hooks (I still find the little kids one very adorable) but the other one, the oak one, was a whole different story. The client wanted to reuse the old fireplace unit as a shoe rack. So I figured out how to take it out, and then discovered that the construction was all kinds of questionable.
After recutting it to fit in its new home and having it almost fall apart on me, I got it in position, cut it to the shape of the walls and then fixed it in. I had to cut a new panel for the open side from one of the offcuts. After a bit of caulk, it was all done. I added in the coat racks to that cloak room and the whole job was finished.
